Government has proposed amending the auditor regulatory regime which is intended to turn the FRC into the independent regulator of auditors of listed entities and which will significantly increase our responsibilities thereby making this an exciting time to join us.

  • Perform reviews of financial statements selected under the financial statements review programme and prepare handling reports with recommendations
  • Serve as complaint handling officer and screen complaints received

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with at least 5 years’ post qualification experience in audit or audit regulation. Solid technical background in an audit firm, with extensive exposure to financial reporting and auditing and assurance standards and listing rules compliance are a prerequisite.

The role carries a higher level of responsibility and the candidate must exhibit independence, motivation and a desire to develop a long term career within a regulatory body.
